About Us

Always Fair Trade. Always locally roasted in Southern Arizona.

Perfecting coffee

We source our green coffee beans exclusively through the Vocafe Way fair trade practice, ensuring that farmers receive a fair market price and are able to operate in environmentally safe, pesticide-free conditions. Committed to both quality and community, we have also partnered with the Friends of the San Pedro River organization, donating a percentage of our proceeds to support their mission.

Our goal is to provide ethically sourced, locally roasted coffee to Cochise County and beyond.

Best Beans

Specialty coffees grown and harvested by hand ensures that cherries are picked only when ready vs commodity coffees which are all harvested at the same time, including under and over ripe beans.

naturally processed

Naturally processed specialty coffees are sun-dried and meticulously hand-sorted, ensuring only the highest-quality beans make the cut. This careful process requires time and resources, which is why specialty coffee commands a higher price than mass-produced commodity coffee—but the result is a cleaner, more flavorful cup.

Fair Trade

100% of our coffees are traded through Volcafe which ensures coffee farmers receive a fair market price for their harvest.  Additionally, Volcafe plays a major role in establishing washing stations and providing sustainable farming learning resources to farms.

Precision Roasting

Each coffee we receive is carefully roasted in several small batches to determine the optimal roast. In keeping with the medium roast and low – acid tenant of SPCR coffee, we strive to ensure each single origin coffee is roasted in a manner that brings out the best it has to offer without resorting to over-roasting to hide defects or less desirable flavors found in lower quality beans.

We Roast Delicious Coffee

Meet Daryl of San Pedro Roasters. While he first learned to roast coffee from a friend nearly 20 years ago, his true passion for perfecting the craft began just five years ago when he started roasting for friends and family. This journey led him to experiment with roast parameters, refining his technique to create coffees suited to various palates.

Over the years, Daryl has built several small-batch roasters, but five years ago, he embarked on constructing his current 6kg roaster. Designing and engineering the roaster from blueprint to completion has given him a unique edge, allowing him to optimize his process and distinguish himself from other roasters.
